The hotel trade in Llandudno is struggling as is every other business, the country is on its knees, and we are paying millions for asylum and more whilst businesses struggle. Something needs to be done and quickly. A HOTEL in the centre of Llandudno has seen its price reduced for a second time in a bid to find a buyer.
The Wilton, on the promenade, went on the market in late summer 2021 with owners Paul Burke and Joanne Oliver looking to retire.
Originally for sale for £695,000, the hotel's price was then brought down to £660,000 with commercial agent Christie and Co last year.
Almost four years after first being placed for sale, the hotel's price has dropped again, and is now available for £595,000 - £100,000 less than its original price.
A four-star 14-bed hotel described as “attractive”, it is made up of five floors including a guest lounge, bedrooms and owners’ accommodation.Overlooking the promenade and Llandudno’s famous Pier, its location would be the envy of many a prospective buyer.
The estate agent’s listing states: “The Wilton Hotel is an attractive rendered end terrace, five storey, Victorian Grade II Listed property with public areas on the ground floor, letting rooms across the upper floors, with owner's accommodation situated to the lower ground floor.
“The hotel currently offers a 4 star bed and breakfast service, with car parking to the rear.
"The hotel currently doesn't hold a licence to sell alcohol presenting the potential to offer a bar service."
