What a delightful human being! A MAN from St Asaph “lashed out” at multiple police officers and threatened to kill people in the emergency department (ED) at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan.
Bradley Khorasani was seen “kicking off” at the hospital, days after assaulting and making threats to police officers after making hoax emergency calls.
Khorasani, 26, of The Roe, was jailed for 48 weeks at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court today (January 8), having previously admitted assaulting emergency workers and threatening behaviour.
The court heard that on, December 8, 2024, Khorasani made numerous 999 calls to North Wales Police’s control room despite there not being a genuine emergency.
Officers attended, and upon their arrival, Khorasani was “abusive”, and threatened to kill members of staff.
Police asked him to volunteer his phone to stop him from making the 999 calls, and tried to talk to him, but Khorasani continued to threaten officers.
He took hold of PC Jones by his neck, and while being restrained, Khorasani bent his knee, intentionally making contact with PC Evans’ leg.
Khorasani then punched out at another officer, PC Turner, in the mouth.
Then, on December 13, police were called by staff at Glan Clwyd, reporting that Khorasani had been acting in a threatening manner.
When officers attended, Khorasani was heard saying: “I will kill you all”.
Staff tried to reassure patients that Khorasani was not being genuine, to which he replied: “I can’t promise that, I’m a violent man.”
The following day, police were called by Khorasani’s mother, who said he was having a mental health episode at the Travelodge hotel in Colwyn Bay, shouting and kicking a door.
PC Cooper attended the scene, but was punched by Khorasani.
Defending Khorasani, who had no previous convictions, Nama Zarroug said he there are “quite clearly some significant mental health issues” in his case.
Ms Zarroug described him as “extremely vulnerable”, and said his three weeks on remand in custody have proved “more than a wake-up call” for him.
She added: “He understands he needs to work on his mental health, and without undertaking that work, we are at risk of this situation re-occurring.”
Sentencing, District Judge Gwyn Jones told him: “These offences are so serious that only immediate custody can be justified.
“Glan Clwyd is, at the best of times, a busy place with people who are really ill, worried about their safety.
“The officers were there doing their best, trying to ensure your welfare was protected. You had no regard for their welfare, and lashed out, using your body as a weapon against those officers.” From...https://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/24844142.st-asaph-man-said-ill-kill-all-glan-clwyd-hit-policemen/
