With all of the yob crime in the area, I did not hold out much hope for anything that is not very robust. Even some of the marble seating has been broken!
NEW SEATING on the Rhos-on-Sea promenade has already been damaged, just days after the section opened to members of the public.
Wave seats, deck chairs, higher seating, and more varieties were unveiled along the promenade last week, as work continues on the coastal defense and infrastructure improvement project.
Residents had praised the new seats, with one saying it looked “fabulous”, and catered “for all kinds of people of different ages and abilities”.
But it seems this excitement wasn’t felt by all, with a seat near the phone charger unit already being damaged, with its metal bars pulled apart.
One resident said: “Oh well, things were always going to get damaged, but not this quickly - well done if this was your handwork.”
Another resident said it was “awful”, and showed “no respect” for the work that had been done.
