Rhyl...Suspended sentence for man guilty of threatening behaviour to disabled woman

This vile human being should have been jailed for this. Poor woman,I hope she can recover.

A MAN from Rhyl has been handed a suspended sentence and a restraining order after pleading guilty to threatening behavior towards a woman in the town.

Simon Neapsey, 57, of Meredith Crescent, was accused of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior, with the intent to cause Suzanne Dexter-Jones harassment, alarm or distress, on May 23.

He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 2.

Neapsey was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.

This was due to his “unprovoked attack of a serious nature”, and “targeting of a disabled person”.

He will also not contact Dexter-Jones directly or indirectly until September 8, 2024.

Neapsey will also pay compensation of £100, a £128 victim surcharge, and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.

This totaled £313, which he will pay in monthly, £24 installments from November 11.

An application was made for deductions from Neapsey’s benefits.
