Abergele...Caravans stole at campsite by hooking up to the water and electricity at night without paying!
They should have locked the gates and not left the thieves out until they had paid.
A group of caravans pitched up at a North Wales campsite - then hooked up to the water and power without a booking. The incident happened on Monday evening at the Manorafon Farm campsite in Abergele, near Gwrych Castle, the Welsh home of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
A guest at the campsite says the group turned up unannounced and pitched up their caravans and tents next to the paying guests, connecting to the water and electricity supply next to them. They then stayed the night before leaving on Tuesday morning after "a bit of commotion", a guest has said.
David, from Wigan, was staying at the campsite when they turned up without a booking. He said: "They just drove in during the night and connected up to the water and electric next to us.
"We didn't think much of it initially but it was quite daunting the next morning because there was quite a bit of commotion when they were told by security to leave. We were close at the time - they refused to go to start with, but eventually, they did.
"I feel for the owners, but the place is so open anyone can go in and do what they want. I hope it doesn't happen again as I come here often on holiday from Wigan."
Manorafon Farm says they received complaints from guests about the visitors pitching up at the site and says the group was told to leave on Tuesday.
Conwy Council declined to comment as the incident took place on private land. North Wales Police has also been approached for comment.
