What is happening to the court system? This piece of trash should have been jailed for assaulting an emergency officer.
A WOMAN from Rhos-on-Sea has been handed a curfew after she was found guilty of assaulting and obstructing police officers.
Laura Owen, 33, of First Avenue, was accused of the following in Rhos-on-Sea on May 29:
• Committing common assault against PC Thomas.
• Assaulting a police sergeant by beating him.
• Obstructing PC Edwards while acting in the execution of his duty.
She pleaded guilty to all three offenses at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on June 20.
Owen received a curfew, with electronic monitoring, ordering her to remain at her home address between 7pm and 6am daily until September 11.
She is also to pay £260 in compensation and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This totaled £345, which she is to pay as a full lump sum within 28 days.
The court also made an application for deductions from her benefits.
