I bet there will be some parasitic property developers thinking they can buy this hotel and tear it down for another block of OAP flats!
A 'prominent' hotel on Llandudno's famous seafront has been put up for sale. The Manor Hotel on Craig Y Don Parade is on the market with commercial agent Fleurets.
It was bought by the current owner in 2016 and from 2018 leased out to a tenant. Its reviews on Tripadvisor are mixed - with 126 guests rating it as excellent and 68 as terrible. Tripadvisor ranks it at 48 out of 53 Llandudno hotels.
Fleurets believe it has great potential for any new owner. The 22-bedroom site is priced at £650,000.
Agent Lesley Watmough said: "Llandudno has for over one hundred years was known as the "Queen of the Welsh Resorts". The Manor Hotel is located fronting the promenade between the Great Orme and Little Orme, therefore enjoying panoramic views of the famous bay. It lies a few minutes from Venue Cymru which is a theatre and conference center attracting numerous visitors. The Victorian pier and shopping area are a short walk away and there are many bars and restaurants close by."
She said the Manor was "a prominent end-terrace corner property on 3 stories plus a lower ground floor". She added: "In this part of Llandudno there is free public parking on the promenade to the front of the property and in the side streets."
Talking about the business, she said: "Our clients' purchased the business in 2016. Client accounts for the year ending 31st December 2017 showed a turnover of £307,600.
"Our clients confirmed in 2018 that they leased the hotel out at an agreed rent of £50,000 per annum. We understand the tenant is trading the property as a Bed and Breakfast with bar service to non-residents. Our clients will be selling the property with vacant possession.
